In answer to your question about the playdough.... the Kool-aid (for whatever reason) doesn't seem to stain hands at all. Just make sure to mix really well when it's 'cooking'.
My girls always had a lot of fun picking out different flavours of Kool-aid in the grocery store! (With two girls, two batches is a must though!) Don't double the recipe - half and half is enough for each to play with.
